Dandenong West Primary School is committed to providing a friendly and caring learning environment that meets the needs of all students in becoming effective and productive members of the global society. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of a large group of students newly-arrived in Australia and facing the challenges of learning English and engaging in all curriculum areas with English as the language of instruction. At the same time, the school is committed to providing stimulating and challenging programs in all areas for students whose English skills are strong - our native English speakers and those who have now been learning English for some time. Our teachers work together in teams to provide an exciting and flexible learning program designed to meet students' individual learning needs. There is strong partnership between parents and staff, with agreed support for the school's emphasis on academic achievement and good citizenship.
